SYNDERM DRESSING INNOVATION INC.

SynDerm is a medical technology company focused on advanced treatments for hard to heal wounds such as burn wounds. SynDerm’s property tissue engineering technology is clinically proven to improve the rate and speed of healing in deep and chronic wounds. The produced acellular xenogeneic skin substitute dresses the wound and facilitates the epithelialization by reduction of inflammation and infection and promotes cell proliferation and dead cells absorption. High tissue integrity due to similarities to extracellular matrix (ECM), biocompatibility and impregnation with minerals are the main positive points of SynDerm. Not immunogenicity and promotion of vascularization are the main advantages of this product.

All open wounds are candidates for dehydration, moisture loss, and infection. As a result, any of mentioned problems may prolong the healing process and cause skin deformation, ulceration, tissue disease and other problems. Prevention of these problems is a much better approach than trying to treat the wound.

Wound management is responsible for a significant portion of medical costs and the length of the healing process in injuries and surgeries. The skin has two major responsibilities. First, it is responsible for inner tissue protection, therefore, until wounds are not properly covered by skin, the flesh is vulnerable to dehydration and infection. Second, the skin has a cosmetic feature. To protect inner tissues from dehydration and infection wounds could be covered. The effectiveness and efficiency of wound treatment affect the medical costs, occur in the length of treatment, and possible infection, and have a serious cosmetic effect.  Shifting from traditional wound care techniques to more sophisticated methods will positively affect costs and the length of the healing period.

There are several Wound Healing Devices, but none are as effective and efficient as healing pads. Healing pads initially were introduced as a protective barrier for exposed wounds to drop the infection chance and prevent the dehydration of the exposed cellular water.
